Sugarmill Woods
Sugarmill Woods was created in 1972 and was the first deed restricted residential community in America to integrate nature strips and homes, also known as greenbelts. Sugarmill Woods is divided into three sections, Oak Village (www.oakvillageonline.com), Cypress Ridge (https://www.cypressvillagesugarmillwoods.com/), and Southern Woods. Each community has its own HOA and set of rules and fees. It is conveniently located by SR-98, US-19, and the Suncoast/Veterans with easy access to the north of Florida by means of Lecanto and Brooksville, as well as Tampa and south.
With so many amenities and natural surroundings, Sugarmill Woods will exceed all expectations of living the Florida lifestyle. The amenities include: golf courses, country clubs, gyms, pools, tennis courts and much more. There are two clubhouses featuring restaurants and lounges, along with fine dining.
Sugarmill Woods Country Club and Southern Woods Golf Club, both located in Homosassa, Fla., as well as World Woods Golf Club in Brooksville were acquired by Toronto-based development group Cabot which is co-funded by CEO Ben Cowan-Dewar and golf course developer Mike Keiser. This will be opening the horizons for the West Central Florida Golfing Community.
